a baby shower

This past Saturday our good friends Nikki and Dan Bressler threw us a baby shower. The timing of the shower was a little earlier than typical, but seeing as several of our friends weren't going to be in Albany for the summer and with finals a month away (there is no such thing as a free Sat. with finals looming) we figured the timing was just right. Keith and Holly also came, coming up from NJ for the weekend which was great! To entice the men into coming Nikki made it a dinner party with alcohol/baby shower. Smart girl, getting a bunch of law school guys together pretty much requires alcohol! :D

They did such a great job of decorating! In case you don't know already the little guys name is going to be Rhys Foster Lockamy!

Holly made a clothes line of baby pictures of Ryan and I mounted on little onesie cutouts! It was great and brought tears to my eyes (granted, not hard to do right now). Also, thanks to both of our parents for finding and sending the pictures!

Nikki actually made this cake!! I couldn't believe it- how cool is that! And it was my favorite chocolate cake recipe too- which was a bonus!

We had such a great night and were so appreciative of everyone coming to celebrate Rhys with us! We feel so lucky to have such great friends up here who truly have become our family.
