a 60th surprise

A couple of weekends we drove down to Athens for a surprise visit for Denise's 60th birthday! Somehow we manages to keep it a secret in the weeks leading up to it.  The morning of her birthday Ryan called her to wish her a happy birthday, when we were actually sneaking up to the house to surprise her.  Eddie who was in on the surprise saw us coming up and told Denise to look in our direction (she was on the porch) and Rhys came running up to her with a shirt that read,"Happy 60th Grandma!"  It was such a fun surprise!  Here are a few pix that I took that weekend of the birthday girl.  A few of Rhys of course too...
