5 years celebrated!

To celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary Ryan, Zoe,and I enjoyed an extra long weekend in Bar Harbor Maine. We spent most of our time in Acadia National Park exploring all around Mt. Desert Island (where Bar Harbor and Acadia are both located), but also had the chance to walk around the very cute Bar Harbor to do some shopping, eat at a couple of great restaurants, and go whale watching!

We left bright and early Friday morning to get to Boston by 10:30 so Ryan could squeeze in an interview for a job next summer. The lengthy 20 minute interview behind him we headed north towards Maine, stopping in Kennebunk for lunch and also to look at some absolutely
gorgeous houses!

Saturday we awoke to a beautiful and unseasonably warm day. I wasn't complaining! Here are some pix:

Is that a happy dog or what?

Zoe's first swim in the Atlantic, sure wasn't the 80 degree Gulf of Mexico water that she's used to!

Sunday we decided to go whale watching out into the Gulf of Maine.

We had to take this because Ryan's sister Beth just got engaged!

You can barely see them, but there are actually 3 whales there!

Ain't he so cute!!!

We saw about 12 different whales in all, but got to follow a group of 3 around for a while.
Maybe a little close for my liking, guess I've seen Jaws too many times (I know, I know it's not a Killer Whale, but you never know!!!)

View from a Carriage Road. It was starting to drizzle by then, booo!
